The Shenzhen Special Economic Zone was founded in 1980, which is the largest economic zone except that of Hainan Province in China. Shenzhen is “a city of immigration”, since most of its population is from other regions, meanwhile, it is a long and narrow city with a length of 81.4 kilometres from east to west, and the minimum distance of 10.8 kilometres from south to north. As a burgeoning city, Shenzhen is tidy and pretty, with sumptuous greenery all the year around. The local government has taken actions that suit local circumstances to develop so many tourist attractions, where the natural scenery combines artificial buildings artfully. In particular, the artificial landscapes in Shenzhen have been developed successfully, among which so many excellent theme parks remain a hot point of the tourism in Shenzhen.
The Overseas Chinese Town is located at the side of Shenzhen Bay, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, where there exist four major theme parks----- the Splendid China, the China Folk Culture Village, the Window of the World and the Happy Valley, out of which a cultural and tourist holiday resort has been formed, where tourism, culture, shopping, entertainment, sports and leisure are combined into one.
